When I packed my bags back in January, I was very optimistic that I would be able to eat healthy and exercize while I was abroad. I packed my running shoes and two pairs of work out clothes. After four months, I finally decided to give those clothes a try and go for a run, especially since we’ve all seen how healthy my eating habits are. So I set my alarm for 8 am, and took off on an early morning run on the Brighton coast.
This run made me miss home, because the way the early morning run felt was similar to off-season runs with my aunt/BFF Alison. The cold air, the sound of the waves; it made me very nostalgic and lonely. Good thing running gives you all those happy endorphins!
I spent the rest of the day exploring the cute beach town of Brighton, walking the pier, and falling asleep on the shore and getting a terrible sun burn. I didn’t realize it was possible to get burned in England, but hey, we all make mistakes. Endorphins + Vitamin D?
All in all, I enjoyed my relaxing couple of days in Brighton. Most of all, I enjoyed being warm, even though I fried my skin and will probably get premature wrinkles or something gross from all that sunshiney goodness.
